Ok, I advocate whole foods. There is no such thing as a "meal replacement." Joe Meeko and I talked about this before he committed suicide and he was in agreement with me and told me that everybody he competed with ate whole foods as compared to protein shakes. Now, protein shakes are a great addition with your meal. I advocate that, so long as you add fat to them. I like coconut milk, for both the lipid content and lauric acid content. If I do drink protein shakes, I make sure that I make it with a can of coconut milk. You can also use whole cream or half 'n' half. You can use olive oil or coconut oil also. When I started adding fats with my protein, I noticed it made it more anabolic. Both Vince Gironda and Rheo Blair advocated this also. That's one of the things that made Blair's protein so good, is the addition of whole cream and milk to make it. The added lipid profile made it much more anabolically potent than without it. But, it also was milk and whole eggs based, which was far better than the soy products at the time. Blair called it "Mothers Milk," but, really, it was the fats that did the trick. I know I noticed added benefits from doing this and I think you will too. Give it a try.

I like the blended protien powders. With the slow release protien. And always use milk. I'll have to get some more coconut oil.

I'm with ya whole foods trump all eveytime,I'm a whole milk man myself

It's not a protein shake without whole milk! Check out fairlife milk, it's cold filtered so has 50% less sugar way more protein per ounce. Their whole milk is my go to right now.

Rheo Blair was also handing out Nilevar, but yes, agreed... People need to realize testosterone is made from Cholesterol.
(That's why statin drugs can crash a guys test level)...

I’ve decided that using protein shakes in my ration is only an option as meal after workout (whey protein). I prefer to get protein from natural products, maybe it’s because due to an age , my enzyme system rejects lactose. I don’t wanna take additional enzyme as lactase. So between protein shake and normal food I’ll choose low calory omelet or a good lean meat.

I wouldn't drink milk post workout it is mostly casein so that's going to take 6-8 hours to absorb. Egg whites a scoop of aminos with 2-3 tbsps of honey.

I use ON's Pro Gainer mixed with one scoop of ON's Hydro Whey post work out. 650 calories, 82 grams of fast acting carbs, and 95 grams of a mixed protein. I like the taste, and it fills me until I can grab a meal about an hour and a half later. I use water mix with this though.

Yeah but if your drinking it with 50g of whey isolated th3n your getting fast and slow release protein. Win in my book.
