Man y'all are going to hate me but my mid-life crisis was in full swing last month so I bought a new Vette.
I tried to fight the urge. I think it was all this damn test.

Lol, it's an amazing car no matter what. Wish I could afford to own one.

I've been eyeing a new black and yellow Z06 myself and I'm still fighting the urge lol.

Man IH that was the first one I went to. I qualified and all and sat there and sat there. My buddy in service comes in and says good luck with those tires. I was like why????? He says they are $3k a set.
I just couldn't do it. I fell in love with the one from the detroit show and they had it 2015_Chevy_Corvette_Stingray_Z06_Debut_at_Detriot_Auto_Show_9.jpg

I'm an old guy 65 years living now on SSD.

I drive an old mans car. I had a Corvette in 87' when I had money. Now an older Volvo 960 sedan 1993 in total mint condition and only 134,000 miles. I keep it covered everyday. It doesn't handle like the average big sedan. The turning radius is awesome and I love it. Really do.

I would love a 2016 Vette

Yup that's it! I will probably get through the winter and pick it up in the spring.

So Jue I'm 51 would love to get a vette or cobra but I'm a social worker = poor lol so today I broke down traded in signed for a Hyundai brand new - 10 thousand mile ten year bumper to bumper , satellite radio and blue tooth -6 high grade speakers lol free roadside assistance as part of warranty . This gets 38 mpg so I don't feel as sexy lol by wil save ton on gas and repairs so why am I not happy ?? 51 yo never married , never had house or until now new car but of course not the one I want . Argh that's it I guess just venting to my bros

Part of my secret to being happy is accepting that my life today is as good as its gonna get and I've lowered my expectations and broken my goals down into smaller steps. I am not rich, not even close. My wife and I do own a house, but paying mortgage for the next 20 years (ouch that doesn't sound fun) and 2 cars and a blow up boat with a trolling motor lol. I try to be content with my life each and every day, but I do have my ups and downs like any other human.

My real secret to happiness is to make sure I have good Karma on my side at all times as what goes around will come around. Sure I am waiting for the good stuff to come around, but it will and sometimes I don't even realize that it.

Awesome that you are a social worker... You are helping others a lot more than you may think you are. I am not saying my life is perfect or even close, but it is what it is and I've learned to accept it.

What are you going to do with all the extra cash from saving on gas? 6 mpg to 38 mpg will drastically save you much money and the fact that every time you fill up won't be close to $80 or so (I am guessing what you used to pay to fill up your tank). One thing that you have that you should cherish is the respect that I see from others about you. That says a lot about your character.

Congrats on your new car. Savor the new car smell before it'll smell like your ass (just kidding).

Ketsugo you should be proud because we your brothers look up to you because you are one of the special cats that we wish we were. Trust me when I say I drove my 98 Mazda in to the ground until I was in a
position where I could buy my car. Much respect to you my man for helping others and living like the big guy upstairs wants us to.
 
Thanks for props, ya know I'm now actually loving this hyundAi it's like tiny sports car I maneuver in and out lol drives so smooth , I get 31 MPG and complementary satellite radio - I hit the ozzy metal channel, the 80s hair band Chanel lol for first time in 7 years I got air conditioning , windows huge I can like see everything . Yeah I'd love a corvette or cobra but hey I'm gtg
 
Ahhh love corvettes when I hit the number sports car for every day of week 2017 vette, still love the 1967 ones too my dad had one when I was kid. Loving this Hundia sporty , I can maneuver easy , I get 41 mpg ! I'm saving so much money from the Durango that even with car payment and total auto insurance I feel like have a part time job . Used to fill 20-25 $ day due to work now 18$ week . Switch From compulsory GEICO to full coverage with Plymouth Rock my insurance down 67$ month yes down lol
