I always lie on the question about if I take testosterone for trt by doctor

I was told by my clinic that some places would turn you down but I don’t even take the chance

I could easily get a therapeutic phlebotomy script written up but there is nothing wrong with my blood!!!!

Any of you do the same?

Yeah dude. They don’t need to know about my trt

Now if I was into heavy usage I would have to get a script I am sure.

If your hemoglobin is too high they won’t except you right?

I'm not sure what 'too high' might be. My Endo MD suggested that I donate because of my H&H being above normal levels. Since donating I have no probs.

The finger prick prior to donating checks your iron level in your blood.

Finger prick also checks hemoglobin. I think if that gets too high they won’t take you unless u have a script. My highest was 17.6

Last time I donated it was 14

I don't think so...Unless they just never told me. They tell me each time it measures iron.

They do for me. Then after donation they give me paper work and it’s written on there

I've been getting blood work lately a lot and every time they do a CBC from what I understand I'm anemic or slightly anemic.

MCV is 72.6 with reference range of 80.0-100.0fL

MCH is 23.1 with reference range of 27.0-33.00pg

MCHC is 31.8 with reference range of 32.0-36.0 g/dL

RDW is 19.0 with reference range of 11.0-15.0 %

So RDW is high, the rest are low. I also had more bloods drawn a few months past this and those levels were still low. RDW was still high.

Is this a thing? You can get a "blood letting" for shits and giggles?

Yep, my TRT doc just informed me about this yesterday while going over my blood work after he noticed mine was a little high but nothing to concerning yet he says.
He went over the whole "go donate blood at a blood drive" thing to lower my Hgb.

What is "Hgb"?

I go to UBS and they turn you down if your BP is to high as well.. My hemoglobin is always at 19-20 so they only allow me to do the simple blood donation.
I want to do the double red cell donation but they wont unless the Hemoglobin is under 18 I believe.. Sucks bigtime..
