Arnold Classic 2018// Columbus

Alrighty, the Arnold Classic is a mere 6-7 weeks away from this weekend.

Who's going....? Anyone...!

And If so, to the Saturday​ show, or just the expo...?

Been a number of years since I've been, seriously contemplating going this year with both my boys.

The eldest, & the youngin who's going to be 17 next week.

He's never been, but his brother has when he was younger.

Also took him to a Toronto Pro Invitational, met Dexter Jackson in the Lobby there.

& One year at the Arnold, besides a bunch of em' in the
Expo, I met Reg Park, Vinney Galante at the night show, actually the dinner reception.

Went to a party afterwards put on by Bill Phillips & his brother Shaun, met the both, as well as Skip LaCour, few others. Bill was wasted at one point, in fact coming up some stairs with his Entourage ( security ) in an attempt to
Shake his hand so-to-speak, I was at the top of the stairs, he was coming up, sorta started to fall back, in shaking his hand I helped him get his bearing & pulled him up to prevent falling backwards. Funny, Skip was just people watching, no beer in is hand, he was pretty cool.

Turned out, I was on some Cable show documenting the
Expo while talking to, and Getting an autograph from Flex
Wheeler, man he looked phenomenal.

So, who's going...? Nite all ..! I must be the only one still up
Lol...! Headed to bed.. long day & whipped.

I went last year, I suggest getting tickets for the Saturday finals. That was awesome to be at. The expo can be annoying with the amount of people. I was going to go this year but probably won't. Very nice lineup for Bodybuilding.

I’m with you the men’s finals was cool to watch but the expo is just sickeningly crowded. You couldn’t even go across the isle you were going down. There was a shit ton of room left in the place but it was taken up with small competition events, like kids karate, that had no one there. If they’d move that stuff elsewhere in the building and spread out the expo in the main room it would be great.

I heard they made some changes but it was still pretty much the same. And that was coming from some friends that go on Friday Saturday is even worse. Sucks because I’m only a little over an hour away from it.

Same at the Olympia Expo last year bro.. People still showed up but it was still so NEW to everyone of Rich's passing that it just didnt feel the same when you walked
by the 5% booth.. Sad situtation for sure and for many 5% fans...

Most definitely for sure.. I've met Rich on several occasions and he was nothing but REAL to me and everyone he met and spoke with. The line he had at his 5% booth was the
longest in the Expo. But the fans always waited to meet and get that Big Rich pic they wanted with him.. I will go again and see what the vibe is this year now that a bit of time
has passed by BUT I do not expect it ever to be the same again..

I know I have met him a few times to and he is such a down to earth person!! it was a bitch waiting in the lines thow but like you said it was worth it to everyone just to speak to him and get a photo!! I glad there at least trying to keep his comp going and stay alive but it just isn't the same. What expo did you meet him at ?

I used to go every year back when it first started, but like someone mentioned expo is way too crowded, just not worth it. Last time I went had the wife drop me off, had a friend lifting in the animal cage. I was lucky and was able to get in the cage. If not wouldn't have been able to see shit.
