Let’s talk real talk for a second.

Everybody remembers their first cycle. It’s like your first time doing anything intense — full of excitement, nerves, bad decisions, and too much bro science.

So here’s the question:

What’s the ONE biggest mistake you see people make on their first test cycle?

Drop your answers, but let me kick it off with a few I see all the damn time:

1. Not Knowing WTF They’re Taking

They know it’s “test,” but don’t know if it’s enanthate, cypionate, or prop. No clue on half-life, injection timing, nothing. Just vibes and a vial. No bloodwork. No research. Just send it.

2. “More is Better” Mentality

Goes from 0 to 750mg First week in and he’s already planning to add Tren because “he’s not feeling it yet”

3. Zero Plan for Estrogen Management

They either:

• Run an AI every day like it’s a multivitamin and crash their E2

• Or take nothing and get puffy nipples and cry during Disney movies

4. No Exit Plan / No PCT / No TRT Consideration

You’re not going to stay on forever? Cool. What’s your plan when your nuts shrivel up and your test is flatlined post-cycle? Oh, right. You don’t have one.

5. Bad Coaching or Listening to a Bro Who “Looks Big”

Just because he’s jacked doesn’t mean he’s smart. Don’t assume someone’s competent just because they have delts.

Rest day today and the only one where I don’t even do cardio. Youngest daughter woke me up a few times during the night so getting up early for the gym would have been brutal. Wednesdays are always my busiest work day with back-to-back meetings, plus spending some time at the hospital with my wife while she got her last scan done (praying for answers tomorrow). On top of that ensuring my oldest is doing all her school work and the youngest had her weekly science-based kids training program that I usually take her to. Let’s just say I barely had time to breathe today. I will be setting up the portable steam sauna in my bathroom and sweat out some of this stress before bed.

Morning fasted weight: 215.8lbs
Sleep: Broken, youngest woke me up multiple times, probably 5 hours total
Pump / energy / mood: Mood is ok, energy held up on caffeine and adrenaline, with no pump sadly.


Training – Full Rest
  • No gym, no cardio, only sweat will be from the sauna.

  • 1,436 calories
  • 204g protein
  • 52g fats
  • 118g carbs
(Lowest calorie day so far – crazy schedule with all the running around. Still kept protein high.)

you're right! lol - it's like I said, been a crazy long non-stop day.

I might as well answer your original question then. My biggest mistake was exactly some stuff you mentioned. Bad coaching/advice from someone I thought was more experienced. Was told to use Arimidex in a VERY wrong way and I ended up crashing my estrogen. Everything hurt, especially my back since I already have some issues with it from when I was in the Army. ZERO LIBIDO AND I COULDN'T GET IT UP!!! It was crazy embarrassing when my wife asked me what was wrong :ROFLMAO:
