So as I begin my bulking phase of of my cycle I have previously utilized German Volume Training for size and had great results, however that sort of volume coupled with a 6 day split can take more of a catabolic role than one that promotes true growth. That being the case, I've just switched to a more familiar routine in which it's a 5 set x 10 rep per movement with roughly 6-7 movements total per body part. So I've jumped down from approximately 600-700 reps per body part to about half that. Good thing is that because I'm on a 6 day split that means I will hit the same body part twice a week for a total of approximately 700-800 reps per body part per week.
In my short time on HCU I've noticed some heavyweight powerlifters and was hoping you guys could shed some light on certain powerlifting techniques or principles that would assist with mass development. I recently learned of the Juggernaut method and that seemed crazier than GvT but I would like to hear what's worked for some of you guys.

Thanks for your time

The simples way is 5×5 method . Start at 70 to 75% of max one rep. Just in my opinion of course.
Also just concentrate on the 3 big lifts bench, squat and deadlift. Not saying u can't add other stuff .

If your looking for putting on a lot of mass throw ego lifting out the window and truly make the muscle work.

Powerlifting and bodybuilding normally doesn't mix to well I've seen it first hand a all natural pro go for a 600+ monolift squat because he could rep 585 and broke his back career down the toilet.

SO in other words go lighter weight but for more reps? That would make good sense.

A great advice I was giving a long time ago.Time under tension.Try to make your sets last at least 45 seconds and this works so well for hypertrophy. The amount of weight is less important than the tut brother.Every 3rd workout do one heavy session to activate the fast twitch fibers as well. Also experiment as everyone is more dominate with either the fast twitch or slow twitch fibers.

Not lighter weight but proper weight to stimulate the muscle and properly taxing it with full mind muscle connection not just moving weights. Every movement has a reason if you don't know how to execute it properly for full muscle recruitment your limiting growth. Remember we are after growth not strength here at least if your a bodybuilder the strength will come just slower.

This is also where ego lifting has to be thrown out for proper contractions.

I'm very much into form over max weight. If I'm being honest I don't even know what my max weight in most compound movements are as I always handle what I can hit with proper form for 10-20 reps x5-10 sets. I'm more interested in specific training protocols over training for strength, I'm not interested in getting into pissing contests over who can bench more as much as Im into maximizing every movement and there is some crossover from power lifting that I believe can be beneficial in mass gaining.
