Anyone have these on their thighs?

I've always had a few large ones on my outer left quad/hamstring, but they have recently become darker and more prominent.

On my right quad I now have some very small spider veins that weren't there before...not super noticable but there.

Is this simply a result of training legs over the years? Anyone else have similar issues? Do they pose an actual health threat?

The varicose is not the main trouble, many people has it in various forms due to a aging. The main trouble is a progress of this disease, because you can get into a situation when you get phlebitis and you can’t load your muscles at full potential. There are some ways to prevent it:

1) Use special compressive clothes for the training. Put compressive pants with high grade of compression. I think you can easily find such clothes, you can use Under Armour brand. Do not be shy of using elastic bandages when you do squat and deadlift. Besides protection compressive clothes have other usefull traits: hygiene and remove humidity from your skin.

2) Usually the reasons for varicose can be: overload of your muscles, as a result increased pressure and also increased viscosity of blood. You should check your health and correct it with medicine that reduce blood pressure and ingibitors of blood viscosity (you can use drugs on herbals or something like Pentoxyphyllinum).

One more thing, the reason of varicose or cause to be exactly, is the use of 1-2 drugs during your cycle that increase the level of hemoglobin greatly (like test, nandrolone, oxymetholone). Plan your cycles taking this moment into consideration and use something that can fix your blood, at least use aspirine in case of emergency. Consult with your doctor about taking ingibitors of blood viscosity.

I am sorry for such short answer, but due to a forum limitations I can’t give you more info on this topic.

Thank you man - very detailed info.

I actually just started taking metroprolol 100mg/day for tachycardia that is basically anxiety induced...so my BP is great now.

I also actually switched from baby aspirin to nattokenise a few months ago...maybe I should switch back to the aspirin. Never had this problem before.
