The best free malware removal tools.

I've got a lifetime subscription to SAS. I put Malwarebytes 3.0 on wife's pc which also is lifetime protection. Was considering trying a new product but then those would go to waste. Haven't had an infection in years though. Well a few on my wife's computer because she uses it for her job and the "IT guy" over there apparently put some malware on it whether he knew it or not I don't know. My view is, that too much protection is as bad as none at all. In other words some of these anti-malware programs can be as bad as malware itself causing a ton of problems with false positives and with users that don't really know what they are removing that only compounds the problem. You've got to understand what you are removing, otherwise you may remove a system file that is vital.

Also you can get a good back up program or imaging software and do full backups monthly and incremental back ups daily. That way you can just recover from an incremental backup from before you had the infection. Or if you have enough space, differential daily.

I have Malwarebytes Pro on my laptop...and it works a charm. My other fave tool I use is Ccleaner.
