test and bloodwork

Hello all fellow HCU's. I'm a 31 yr old male. Started on a very low dose of test from my doctor at 1cc @ 200mg once every 2 weeks. Had blood work done 2 1/2 months later and realized what a waste of time that dosage was. So I decided to go another route... now I'm pinning every tues/fri 500mg per week. So far no gyno, high blood pressure, etc. I feel GREAT! My question is... how often should I get blood work done now? And have any of you heard its a good idea to give blood while on test?

500mg/wk isn't TRT, that's a cycle!. Did your endo order the blood work and what were your results?. It all depends on the doctor, most are going to give you enough to replace the testosterone you don't make normally. Do you even really need TRT?. Thirty-one is kind of young to be on TRT.

My initial blood work test was 430. Which he thought was low for my age, so he started me on TRT. After being on 200mg every two weeks I went back over 2 months later and my test results were actually LOWER. But they wouldn't Increase my dosage.. So that's why I went s different route. In all honesty I wanted test for results in the gym. Which is why I'm still on it at 500mg per week

Good call. I'm on doc prescribed TRT and dealing with insurance, docs and bloowork is just a pain in the ass. Although there are some good docs and you could get more prescribed if you went to an anti-aging clinic, but you're gonna pay up the ying-yang and it won't be covered by insurance. Sorry I can't really be of more help. I'm sure there are a lot of smarter guys on here that may be able to help you better than I.

I had the same problem. Doc said oh no its a controlled substance and I can't give more than 200mg every two weeks. So I tried the pellet implants at $800 every 6 months. Felt great for 6 weeks but working out will make your body eat through pellets quicker. And I had one pop out on my kitchen floor. I thought you know how much tes I could by for $800. By the way I'm 33yo. I'm kinda young myself to be on trt but I messed myself up when I was 18. Noobie mistake.

Normal TRT dose is roughly 125 p/w give or take as everyone is different but 200 p/w is tops usually. Youre on a cycle man. Why go from 100 p/w all the way up to 500? Not slammin just curious. With PEDS more is not always better, I find the opposite actually, and can be dangerous health wise without the proper knowledge/guidance.

100% agree with this. I look like an absolute freak and I never go above 250-300 a week split in 2 doses with test cyp.

Your test levels will slightly elevate with every passing week until they reach your genetic threshold based on the dosage you administer. You need to find your zone where you have all the great results of trt and no sides. Everyone's personal zone....so to say is different. make sure you run bloods to determine yours.

I've been on test only 500mg p/w since the beginning of March. I have had zero side effects thus far. I think I've found a great range that gives me all the benefits with no negatives.

Well just don't call it "TRT" because that's joke.

Wait, so he gave you one single test and automatically puts you on test strictly based on his opinion?. Don't walk, run from that doc!. I highly doubt you need TRT at your age unless you've been abusing AAS for years. Even then you could have probably raised it higher than that with just clomid...Oh well though, you'll do what you want and sounds like you were seeking a legal way to cycle and didn't legitimately need testosterone replacement therapy.

I've always heard giving blood is a good idea as test increases rbc and hemotocrit. I usually give blood every 12 weeks. I've heard 2x a year and as often as every 8 weeks. Getting bloods will help you decide on frequency. 👍

I think we make this too complex...Most docs treat based of numbers. That's a joke. While someone can feel fine at 500...others are in the dump. My opinion is that by trial and error someone will be able to find what works best for them. But also I agree that anything over a certain amount should not be labeled trt. I think alot of people feel saying I'm on trt makes it all better. My 2 cents...

Bro - well said ! In fact I could not see anyone putting it better !!! Everything we do as bodybuilder is relative only to us . . We are our best teacher and only we at a point can give advice .. to our selves . While medical can generalized on general populace . We can be honest with ourselves and be in control . Even my own personal medical issues , my doc defers all AAS etc to me in fact asks me how too . Certain things I have resolved through my own trails and advises like my poly Vera thing got my counts all in range - yet they are baffled continue to test can't understand how I can keep things down . Many rely on bullshit media or FDA approval , yet somehow I have defied these variables , test after test . Now I'm not saying all go out and do , but in my case I did it

^^^Thanks brother...as you were. I say "as you were", because I get a kick when you end your posts with "carry on"...always kills me...lol. As ex 11b, that's all I was used to for years. Take care brother.

dude I think you misunderstood my post.. I wasn't saying I went to the Doc because I wanted to get on "trt", or that I thought I needed "trt". As you said, I initially went to legally get some test. I didn't know of any other way to acquire some at that point in time. My question that started this thread was only asking, "how often do those on test (or any cycle), go get their blood work done? Sorry for the confusion..
