Stopping TRT question

Hello brothers, hoping to get some feedback here. I've been on TRT for 8 years, I'm 61 and not sure I'm even seeing any benefits. I have an endocrinologist prescribing .5ml once a week of 200mg test cyp. I've been taking .25 twice a week to avoid the dips and lows.
I've asked him several times to check my estrogen but he declines saying i don't take a high enough dose to have estrogen issues. My libido is non existent, I get choked up watching the slightest tear jerker movie scene, and I generally feel tired more often then not.
So what's going on? My labs show my test is usually around 800 to 1000 and free is where is should be according to Dr.
So now I'm thinking of just stopping all together, but would like to know how long will it take for my natural test to come back? Is there anything to take to kick start natural production? My natural production was very low when I started, I think it was around 180. But I didn't have libido issues back then. Even the blue pills don't help.
Sooo, am I just to old for this? If I stop what can I expect to go through withdrawing wise? Any other info you guys can share? Thank you

Dude, fuck that doctor. Get your own estrogen test.

You’re definitely not to old. You can fix this with the right protocol. I have some ideas but I’ll let the real experts chime in.

There are lots of older guys in here crushing it bro!
