STIMS - What are we doing?

Recently I had a great reminder from a Brother here about health and how we at times seem to trade it for results and goals while participating in what should be a healthy activity that improves life and longevity; not diminishes it. I, like most probably, became addicted to "legal" stims. Never have taken a drug in my life other than PEDS. It happened when Ephedrine came-out I guess and I shredded while drinking my ass off and partying like a rock star. At some point, I got in to a pattern of taking them in the morning as soon as I woke-up, mid-day, then preworkout. NO idea why. I use to hype myself up for a workout. What the hell happened to my motivation and why the hell did I need a substance to replace "heart"?

We mix stims with everything we seem to do. When do we give our hearts a break? We dont. We stress them chemically while adding peds that thicken our blood and jack our bad cholesterol through the roof, not to mention the raise in blood pressure. We put too much strain on it like this along with the vessels. I see it like that dude you come across that makes balloon puppets. Once in a while he blows the balloon up too much despite doing it a thousand times amd it pops. In real life that once could be you and most of the times theres no saving you.

My point. I am going to take 2 weeks and "dry-out" from stims. Im already on a run that affects cholesterol and BP so why the hell would I do stims on top of that on top of pushing my heart to the max in the gym to begin with? Makes ZERO fucking sense. Lets see if I still have the FUCKING HEART to get my ass to to the gym, out of bed, and through a workday without depending on some bullshit I dont need. Lets see if I still have the heart of a God damn Lion to push farther and longer than the douche next to me or if im weak without stims. Lets see if its me or the stims that earned what I have. I implore any of you to come along with me for 2 weeks in the name of health. Were Husbands and Fathers and what we are doing with stims is down right reckless in my opinion. An opinion that started this week. Not saying they dont have their place. Just saying they shouldnt be your "why". You can only tell that if you can put them away for two weeks....this is going to suck but its gotta be done. Gents lets see what the fuck we got in the tank without having to stim it....

I used to use a lot of stimulants also. I even mixed pre-workouts with fat burners. Along with that I had 2-3 cups of coffee a day. Now I have two jugs of a pre-workout but only one of them is half gone and I've had them for over a year. A few months back I did my first Tren E cycle and for that I quit all caffeine. Didn't even drink coffee. I still don't drink it every day. Not that coffee or caffeine is unhealthy. They both have a lot of benefits. It's when you start messing with these legal stimulants with 10 different names for the same substance listed on different pre-workout and fat burner containers. Those are the real problem.

EXACTLY! thanks for the back-up here. Problem is I NEVER thought about it until the orher day. Now Im pissed at myself for years of taxing my heart / vessels unnecessarily. It comes from within again. Period.

Awesome man! I am so fucking mad at myself for what Ive been doing with OTC stims, and clen, that I am mystified how I could have been so damn ignorant. Truely a ticking time bomb. My dad had his first heart attack at 38 and lived a pretty clean lifestyle. He has had 8 more, including one where he went without anything but chest compressions for 20 minutes, and I always thought I better do it right. Hell, he is alive because he did it right. Im 45 and all is well but for how long? Until the next time I slam a monster, some clen or bs stim and preworkout while on cycle then hit squats? I preach this heathly "lifestyle" then become one of the worst offenders of a shitty one. Im glad im disgusted with myself right now and am looking forward to getting my own fire going....

I'm 48 and have all but stopped any stims including coffee! After reading this I'm going to stop all together. Thanks for the post brother!

I take my adderall 40mg to 50mg a day...
Bp 110-120/60...
Drink red bull 8oz sugar free 1x a day.
Just did labs and my lipids good...

I told my Dr about concerns with adderall and he laughed at me and said they given for cognitive function in stroke victims...

I got my order for Phlebotomy to control red blood and keep it good...

From all my research too many orals are the problem and too much 1000s of mg total week gear..... And bmi of over 32.... even if body fat low liver stores fat to fuel muscle....

Not against cutting back on stims I don't use preworkout much... I take alot of health supps but most of all I keep bmi around 30 and BF under 10% as much as possible except Thanksgiving thru February....

I guess it boils down to abuse. 1 or 2 red bull 8oz in morning and afternoon not bad and therapeutic doses of meds prescribed by Dr. ... a typical meth addict uses an equivalence of over 1000mg adderall per day.... Theraputic doses and abused not same..
I don't abuse anything except use extra hormones but I keep my labs in check and vital signs. I am husband and father and I care...

L-theanine works great to slow down bad effects of stims and stops glutamate in brain that is responsible for stress and bp spikes and electro responses in brain.

Try L-theanine and CBD...
CBD stops cortisol and is anti-catabolic....

It started with mini thins back in the day with me. I’m sure it didn’t help when I went through my party stage either. My old man has been on BP meds since his late thirties and his dad got flown to Chicago from Canada to have a triple bypass when the surgery was still in the experimental I'm happy this topic came up. You guys have got me to open my eyes. Thanks.

Can only imagine how how my BP got during my workout and how much unnecessary strain I put on it. Unnecessarily. I like my bf between 12-15 as I like the linebacker look and enjoy my weekends too much to live sub 10's anymore. Just had my physical and all was perfect, actually forgot and my physical and slammed a monster before it like usual and had a bp of 117 / 76. Doc laughed at me. What he did nit realize is that my bp wasnt bad because my body had adjusted to stims and that is why it had little affect. Stims really do have their place but I think its time to take a look at those non prescribed used to simply for a pick up. There is no place for pre stims or monsters etc. for me any more. I wanna see what Im made of. Clen is out also. Really see absolutely no reason to ever use that stuff and I firmly believe DNP is safer and wayyyy more effective if used properly. what you said man...running gear, and like over a gram of stims a day on top of other shit, something is bound to happen. I pulled stopped preworkout stims for a little bit, noticed some strength loss but my muscles actually got rounder. My guess its from increased bloodflow. Also the major dehydration issue running stims, throw a oral in there, some tren which is great on the kidneys..shit thinkin about all this im impressed on how much abuse a body can take.

Hey I had to justify my adhd meds.. lol!!

I have stopped pre-workout for years now except maybe 1 tub per year...

I had bad lipids in July, I took it real easy since then and came out good other day on labs and I will still take it easier on gear!!

To help u what I did is stopped t3/t4 because my Dr checked TSH and free t4 in july.. he is checking those again this coming July. My lipids great on them but can't stay on them and get accurate reading on lipid metabolism...
So I stopped T3/T4 since July, I kept hgh at 3.3iu a day generic. I kept test fairly low to moderate. I ran tbol for one 30 day run in Oct I think, I ran one tren ace mini cut 40 days Oct thru 40 days worth. I kept mast lower than normal meaning use mast at 400 week max, Proviron 50mg a day at most, and most of 6 months. Other than that primo 300-700wk and DHB 525-700wk, with test around 450wk at most and a little 25mg trest ace dose eod to 3x wk.
My lipids went from 150 LDL to 101 LOL. My HDL was is normal 20s... my trigTRIG was I think 43.. my glucuse was 119 in July coming off t3/t4 and only 93 other day. My A1C was 5.4.
All of those good and rest. So to fix your lipids use lower test, use primo and DHB, stop the tren and orals.... also low dose trest ace helps me keep testosterone Lower and trest ace is easier on lipids and prostate and doesn't raise red blood. Now I am speaking if 100mg trest ace total a week and it helps keep test dose down.

I myself have stopped most stims, I would get light headed after heavy sets using pre-workout stim versions... now I do drink my red bull sugar free 8oz most days but that is it...

I stopped over using them from high BP symptoms and light headedness years ago..

But L-theanine is a good supp that works syntergesic with caffine blocking it's unwanted dangerous effects. It also works to take for stress control and bp spikes from stress...

Thankfully my bloods and numbers are always good but it wasnt for lack of effort to fuck em up. By the grace of whoever you may believe in I havent managed to fuck myself up yet with my irresponsible use of stims. Just mad it took me this long to figure it out.
