Me and 3 buddies during the endless shrimp promo all got 100 each just over an hour haha I couldn’t eat seafood for like a month after

Damn! 100 shrimp?! Many moons ago I did a Hooter's wing challenge and put down 46 (they are pretty big wings too) along with a large baked potato.

I bet you felt how I felt after the shrimp. So bloated hahaha. When I woke up the next day my eyes were swollen af. Massive amounts of oil and salt did me in.

Yup, I was retaining water for 3 days. I looked puffy because of all the sodium LOL I'm usually veiny but I couldn't see a single vein in my forearms when they are usually popping.

So I've looking for more alternative carb sources and want to give sweet potatoes a shot. I've never made them before.

If y'all could share some ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Sweeet potatoes are a staple for me. You can microwave them if you are in a pinch, you can microwave them for a short period and put them in the oven to finish if you have more time, bake completely in oven, you can cut them into cubes place in a bowl, microwave for a couple minutes then put them in a big stock pot with tons of other veggies that are already steamed/sweated (call this sweet potato hash) not to be confused with pot hash lol, you can also cut them into fries and either bake or fry.

As severl others mentioned, they're good just about anyway you make them - if you want a sweet treat, bake them up and add some cinnamon and brown sugar (go easy as its easy to go all in).

I like 'em just plain baked with some cinnamon

This is actually my favorite way to make them. I chopped them in wedges, or half’s and put a good amount of cinnamon on them. I bake them. I usually will cover them with foil for the first 30mins, then take the foil off and let them get crispy.
