So I live in rural area and mailman always waves talks to my 3 yr old ect ect... Today I got a RC products and guy knocks on door. Was laramed slightly but knew it was 99% cool. He was an immigrans and barely spoke English. It took awhhile and Im still not sure of what he was saying 100%... But seems because my last name and GF's last name he personally kept my mail and said he did return to sender!!!! I have important documents coming and one was a package according to him and that could be anything though I wasnt expecting anything imp it seems odd a package coming... Then he says my meighboor got my mail and opened it and gave it back to him and that he'd "check on it'... I kind of wanted to call the post office. They know me there and this guy clearly needs to speak English more fluently when dealing with the public and understanding basic common sense like MY ADDY is XXX and just beacuse someone else has the same addy doesnt mean "return to sender!!!!" fk...GLAd it wasnt a big cycle Id be freaking out...If he doesnt get back to me Im calling PO but he is new and hoping hes just a fill in... The other guy screwed up our neighboors with us once or twice but we took care of it and he didnt send my freaking mail away...

Well this is a sucky situation no matter what, especially when expecting important docs. Hopefully the pack wasn't anything hear related, all in all I wouldn't be overly concerned, but I'd definitely call and make a complaint!!! Mail is serious business. I wouldn't be pleased having mine trifled with. Good luck with this pal.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say. He knocked on your door and you got a package or he said he did a return to sender on one of your packages that went to someone else?. Sorry, I'm confused as to what exactly happened. If he sent something back that he shouldn't have, maybe you could get a tracking number and track it, and see where it is and possibly have it sent back to you.

Thats the thing...HE DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH BARELY AT ALL... I couldn't tell for sure but he had a package and said "is this you?"I said yes and he was like "oh no oh no" Then from what I could understand he said he did return to sender on a DIFFERENT package(dont know what it is) of mine and a letterpossibly more since idk how long this guys been doing my street... and that someone on my street opened my mail and gave it back to him and he said he'd be back to clear things up... I have never seen him before and we have a regular mail guy that knows us so IDK why this weir dude was working in his place...Im going to call tomorrow becuse he did not comeback and I was home all day today... That could of been important mail. I have health INS documents coming and I need them ASAP and Im curious about the package as some times "friends" send samples and if sent back I doubt I'd see it again not to mention idiot could be dropping future stuff off at neighboors who I guess open shit without looking at the name...

At first I thought he was asking my why I left mail in box and that he sent it back to sender because i left mail out one day. I had very hard time understanding him

Nothing will spook u more than a new mail carrier on route and illegal stuff in the mail lol..most times its paranoia that gets u worried..trust me I know lol

H ehad an RC product so i wasnt to worried but it was weird that he asked "is this you" and pointed to my name on box... But kinda pissed he couldn't really explain anything and Im still confused...I think what I posted above was the issue as far as him returning shit to sender and neighboors getting my mail BUT i don't even know for sure if thats what he was saying... I had to ask multiple times to try to understand any words

Nothing...I got my health ins papers that I was worried about. I have not called the Post office but still may call tomorrow just to be sure it doesnt happen again... I saw my regular mailman out today actually so I was happy about that...

I am not quite sure I follow exactly but let me say that if the pack had your address on it then it should go to that address regardless of the name on it, they go by address not name because I have lived in a place for 10 years and still get mail for the person who lived there before with their name on the letters and books with the address which had been mine for 10 years, so they go by address not by the name. Second if it went to another address that was similar to yours but maybe a different street like 555 north ave and yours is 555 south ave, or it went to your neighbor who is 556 south ave, even if they opened it and gave it back and said return to sender it should have gone back to the post office and then resorted and sent to the correct address, that is if they do everything like they should, but it they didn't catch it was delivered to the wrong addy then it would go back to sender right away, no waiting 5 days like there is if you miss a pack coming to you. Whoever got the pack should have told the carrier it was delivered to the wrong house and not return to sender or they could have dropped it off themselves if it was nearby. Hope this helps some.

Not to mention opening someones mail is a Federal offense. They knew it was for someone else and opened up your mail. That's mail theft.
