Has anyone ever had their CPK checked a day or two after an intense workout?

I have been feeling shitty lately (turns out I have mono) so my doc did a litany of labs on me. My CPK came back at 800, normal range is under 200. I explained to him that the night before I had labs done I did a 400+ rep, extremely high intensity workout...so it is no wonder that my muscle enzymes were elevated! He insists that I go see a rheumatologist...I dont think he is thinking logically.

My CPK levels sit around higher than that. But I think mine is partially genetic cuz my sister had a health scare and found out she was at 12,000ish range on cpk (she never works out and doesn’t do any drugs nor drinks)
Liver and kidney failure can happen when it’s extremely elevated for long periods of time.

You’re fine. And your doctor is a retard if he doesn’t know your levels can be very elevated after a workout. Just drink a shit ton of water and flush it out. CPK is creatinine kinase is released into your blood stream from muscle breakdown. And your body has to process this.

800 isn’t something to be concerned about as long as it’s just from your workout.
When people should be concerned is when it’s elevated for no reason. Or in the tens of thousands range cuz that’s like muscular dystrophy type shit.
