Metformin

Guys before or after meals doesn't really matter. Before in theory would block the most carbs. Problem was it was causing many gastrointestinal issues, fats, shits, stomachache, etc, so they began recommending after. Regardless, it builds up in the system so using it consistently is way more important then timing. The way Aztec is doing it is great. Start low and work up but no more then 2g a day imo. Also, SR for most is less sides since it releases slower. But it's the same drug, no difference other then release time. The SR version was created to help lessen the gastrointestinal problems.

Thank you pal for the info. I’m gonna hit you up. I like the starting out slow idea. Makes sense

I forgot to mention, it seems to help reduce my cravings. For instance, I took it last night after dinner. I usually have almonds and a bowl of cereal after that before bed. Last night I didn't. I'm not starving this morning either but will have a protein bar when I get to work.

Also, don't believe the hype of berberine being equally as good as metformin. It's a cheap OTC supp so it's being pushed to maximize profits. Truth is metformin is superior and works differently and better then any GDA. GDAs would make me go hypo when I used them in the past. I couldn't take berberine when I tried it, the gastrointestinal problems were horrible, my stomach ached, and it felt like I was shitting hot lava I had never felt soo much pain on the toilet before. Bad experience, not for me, I'll stick to metformin.

Thank you again RS. Some great info....learn somethin' new every day.

After rambo talked me into trying this (and also after some self diligence led me to it in the first place)

I will tell you what, I can eat almost anything everyday and stay jacked. 1000mg SR metformin after my heaviest meal

If you are a carb guy, you will experience tren like fat burning results. I took it for a year straight easily and had incredible results within a few weeks noticable changes

more benefits

you will walk around pumped and shrink wrapped like on superdrol all day long

you will be more vascular

you will have more fueled workouts

Ive been trying to talk d-red into it for a while too.

Who else has experience with this? and the life extention geneeral health benefits make it extremely relevant

I just ordered some of this from Rambo. Heard all types good of things about it.
I’ll be taking good ol Tren with it

There are times where I binge eat over a few thousand calories at a time on Tren though

Guys, if you are taking PPIs (i.e. omeprazole, pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, and tenatoprazole) take them at least 6hrs apart from the metformin. These drugs have been shown to inhibit metformins actions when taken at the same time. I take omeprazole for GERD every morning so I take the metformin 15hrs later in the late evening to avoid any inhibition. Just a heads up!

Quick question my man. I read that its most popular to take your metformin WITH meals. Is there a particular reason why you take your after?

yes because In my research @ diabetics using it, they generally take it afterwards (immediately). I take digestive enzymes with every meal too

Nice posting brother!! Great advice, you reminded me to get back on this stuff. I'm going to take a tab after dinner tonight! I'm only on TRT so been getting softer and less vascular, the metformin can help combat this. I'll let you know how it goes!

As always, much love brother!

always good to hear from you old friend, I will shoot you a pm shortly, blessings!

What is the dosage needed for this? I take Omeprozole at night. So I would have to take it in the morning.

Why you guys using ppis? Make sure to check magnesium levels as ppis tend to cause muscle cramps due to lowering effects of ppis. Try Apple cider vinegar and mix with baking soda. Nice alkaline mix for your acid stomach.

Using metformin for years the gi issues disappear after a few weeks. But if you discontinue and restart, they will return until your body acclimates again.

Because I have terrible heartburn at times and Zantac doesn’t really touch it.
I just don’t know if I could drink the vinegar without puking.

Put the Apple cider vinegar in a cup 8 Olof h2o and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. That’s how I take it with no problem .

I'm off omeprazole, I agree with you PPIs are crap. I was able to correct my digestion issues and come off of it. I used ACV for a bit to help the transition. I stay away from foods that cause it and caffeine since it relaxes the LES and causes heartburn. I'm heartburn free now and not using anything, not even tums or zantac. You have to figure out what foods digest better for you and what else is causing the heartburn and change those things. Then you can correct the REAL problem and get away from PPIs, etc.

Does Metformin have any other negative side effects besides gastrointestinal issues? Does it have any stimulant effects? Any meds that should not be taken with it?

There are actually a handful of "positive" attributes to using metformin, just Google it , anti - cancer I think..? Or potential.. , a bunch of good things. I'll try & dig some saved links etc. & Post, it helps with "insulin sensitivity " too..

So what about say Metformin + DNP for a 2 week cut?

Met will not help with that. It takes 4-6 weeks to Really notice change while DNP is instant. Met is more of a lifestyle drug and used for long term. I’ve been on for almost a full year straight and will probably stay on for life.
