This thread is for people to list interesting carrier oils used and their experience with said oils.
Also a little info on the oil if you have it.

I have MCT oil coming that I plan on cutting with watermelon seed oil.
Citrullus vulgaris "Watermelon" seed oil also known as kalahari oil or ootanga oil.

Cold pressed oil tends to be light-coloured and more yellow in colour compared to solvent-extracted oil.
Interesting fact- its highly resistant to oxidation, which is why it has a long shelf life, longest of any natural oil that I can tell.

Other major plus is its viscosity, not sure on the rating but it's very thin. It is used to thin many other carrier oils in the cosmetic industry. I wish I knew the numbers compared to say GSO, all I know is that it is thinner than grape seedoil"GSO"

  • Fatty Acid Profile:
    • Palmitic Acid C16:0 8-13%
    • Palmitoleic Acid (Omega-7) C16:1 1% Max
    • Stearic Acid C18:0 1.5-5.5%
    • Oleic Acid C18:1 21-32%
    • Linoleic Acid (Omega-6) C18:2 55-65%
    • alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3) C18:3 1% Max

Specific gravity is .87

MCT oil works great, no need for anything crazy. I use usp grade MCT and I can draw my test e 300 cold with a slin pin.

You can draw with the slin? Damn

Yep, real 300mg enan made with 10% bb and 2% ba and the price is extremely reasonable as I'm sure you know. When I cruise I just use slin pins to take a break from the swords and it's actually pretty easy to draw half a ml and shoot it real quick.

Another vote for MCT Oil for all the reasons mentioned above. I use 29g for all oils, but fill w/ separate syringe + 25g to draw and backfill slin pin (don't go full retard and forget to remove plunger). I am not as bad ass as @Yates87 because my delicate skin prefers virgin needles ONLY otherwise I would use same slin pin to draw.

Which brand of MCT Oil do you guys get? Anybody notice any difference from expensive ones?

MCT Oil is derived from Coconut Oil. I've heard some sources using coconut oil, but if my memory is correct, they blend Coconut Oil w/ another carrier oil. Gman13 have you heard and have you tried coconut oil as carrier oil? I know there are few different types and different melting points for coconut oil, but I won't go into more detail as it may not be relevant to carrier oils.

What are characteristics does an oil have to have or should have to be considered anabolics carrier oil? Would Hemp Oil work? It has more health benefits than most of us know.

I remember one of my newbie questions I ask was "Can I mix Test Cyp in GSO w/ Test Cyp in MCT Oil?" and some of the replies were NO, you can't mix carrier oils (<---lol)

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum but no to the brewing world!

I've used MCT oil from NOW foods because it's the only one found in my country, it's cheap and works great!, the brewing with it went smooth through the needle with no pip.

I'm definitevely sticking with it for my brewings.

MCT with sum e/o every now and then when its called for. You can actually use just about any oil minus 10/30 lol..otherwise its a preference thing, and your compound recipe choice really. But MCT is probably the main carrier being used by homebrewers, and sources nowadays or will be soon. I should have bought stock in MCT oil lol!

One part watermelon seed oil two parts MCT oil for the longer chain esters
straight MCT oil for short esters. No reason other than I Am able to differentiate the ester by the colour of oil.
Obviously not in the case of Tren though. I just like to see some colour in some of them vials.

There's a place in Ohio that has it for about $45/gallon. It's some sort of 'apothecary' -I mean there is one in the url addy.
