Lawler vs. Dos Anjos

It's a tough one to call. Dos anjos walks around at 195 so he don't have to cut 40 lbs. Lawler is a great fighter, my only concern with him is he has a lot of miles with real tough fights.

I'm leaning in Lawlers direction because he's a banger and Dos anjos got hammered by Alvarez who also fights with a similar style as Lawler. But Them fighters from Brazil are some of the baddest to fighters to enter the cage.

It's gonna be a great fight!

Yeab, you're right about Dos Anjos and his weight. I forgot about Alvarez. And both of em being left handers.... I don't think I've ever seen this before.
Ok cool, 2-0 Lawler. Haha...

Lawler is the favorite on the Vegas line right now, mostly bc of his knockout power and size advantage. My money is with Vegas on this one.

I actually used to train outta the same gym he did in bettendorf, I knew him. We weren't like good friends or anything but I fought on some of the same circuits he did for Monte Cox before Robbie went big time. He's always fought like that and he's fought some real killers. He's a bad ass. But RDA is no joke man. I still gotta pull for Robbie.

I say lawler in the early rounds and dos anjos if it goes late. I think lawler has to many wars under his belt to keep up with dos anjos in the later rounds.

That's cool, man. And I bet it'd be cool to kick back a beer with and shoot the shit.

Guess it's 4-0 Lawler.

Who was the coach out in Bettendorf? Can't remember his name but he had some great fighters. I believe Hughes trained with them also

Dos anjos is gonna win. I've been on the fence but I'm gonna pick Dos anjos. I think he's more hungry for the belt and the fresher of the two.

^^^^^ You're right. RDA was hungrier and in better sbape. Killed it with those outside leg kicks. Lawler just didn't look into it. Not to take anything away from RDA.
And what about the co-main event? Emmett is a bad man with a nasty left. One of the sweetest KO's ever!!

Decent night of free fights, especially if you watched FS1 for the prelims. Need to do it more often imo.

HOLY SHIT that was a beating! I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Lawler has some lasting brain trauma from that fight. At first I was like "How the fuck is Lawler not all cut up?" Then when I reviewed highlights a good bit, dos Anjos punches and elbows were predominantly to the sides of Lawler's head. That was some serious trauma inflicted. The 5th was hard to watch; Lawler was on auto pilot warrior survival mode, but his body and brain were no longer communicating properly. I honestly felt like that fight could have been justifiably stopped in the 5th.

That Josh Emmett KO! That was nasty. Lawler just never got on his game, he seemed like he just couldn't get himself into the fight? Maybe it was just RDA stumping him that much? I was sad to see him go down like that. He's one to go out on his shield, which is respectable but I don't think it's to smart...

It was tough for me to watch too in the 4th and definitely in 5th round. RDA did something (leg kicks) that no one else has ever attempted on Lawler I don't believe. You're right, testboner, probably could have been stopped cause Lawler could barely walk. I think at the end of the 4th his corner had to come to where he was standing.

You think trauma like that to the leg could cause permanent issues? Like maybe with nerves or something? I know if you sustain a crush injury your body can go into compartment syndrome. That can cause a lot of problems
