High Reps for Lean Muscle Development

I do 2 weeks 16 reps, 2weeks 12 reps, 2 weeks 8 reps. Then start over.

Damn it makes me want to try it out. I switch it up everyday.. I just listen to my body. If I feel like I can do more reps I'll hit them to failure, if I feel stronger that day I'll hit lower reps and more weight. I just don't plan on anything before I go to the gym I just go and train
 
I do go the high reps route as I can't lift quite as heavy as I'd like due to age and injuries.
