Email extortion of sources

So there is someone extorting sources on another forum. They send you an email saying you have to pay $300 or they spam bomb your email. Well it's real. There are at least 4 sources I know of that were forced to either pay or change their email daily. So please be warned that this isn't someone bluffing. Spam filters don't work on this either.

Only problem with that is you can change the destination if you know what you are doing

We were one of the ones hit if you haven't noticed our website is changed a couple times and our email as well. This guy is not a hacker. All he does is contact either you're hosting provider for your website or your email provider and narc you out. And since these businesses are illegal the companies have no problem showing your account down. We think we've got ahead of it but will know for sure within the next day or so. Please be advised that he's contacting sources including us From an email account iapharma@tutanota.com this is not us. He's hit multiple sources on outlaw as well. My best advice is to find a hosting company that doesn't care or hide your website using vanity domains and a cdn. Do not pay his punk ass. He will get bored at some point and walk away

Yes LOL regardless if he's jacked or what not you don't fk with people in this game...Street level dudes will kill people over 20 buscks being owed. I think it's ignorant and disgusting but someone say doing this to your best sponsor and your on watch now and he's gone and all because someone wanted to extort 2-300bucks??? I'd say atleast(SPEAKING HYPOTHETICALLY) a visit and a good old fashioned intimidating beatdown( not necessarily in a physical way of course lol)...BTW Im in east cost and do odd jobs at low cost...J/k...

Agreed..those scamming lowlifes need a not so pleasant beatdown. Lots of people put up their very hardearned cash for their gear and expect to get what they paid for.

Oh yeah...im sure the sources could get a nice pool together. however i have a feeling u been traveling real far! And fat chance of ever finding this guys true IP! however, im hoping that these sources were smart enough to at least get the ip from the orignal extortion email. although its prob hidden well via onion routers/proxies/vpns

Yup, or using some offshore email service. Slime like that like to hide their tracks good.

True but theres been scammers caught and posted their addys on other boards and what not...After posting this I dont think itd be smart for ME to do it but If it happened to me I'd weigh my options...Not over the money just the fact that someones that much of a POS to mess with someones business and members ...Im sure it wouldnt be hard to find someone through pm if they culprit was found in the US since we have members in all corners of America lol...POS like that I'd drop him for free If I caught him outside of his property...These reverse scammers have gotten bold everything from this to pulling back CC charges to asking for free gear to log then not even bothering to post lol..Course it does happen on the other end..... GOTTA stick with proven board sponsors that been around and have reps that we all know ...Seems some companies come with a banner the you got guys with 5 posts saying how great the gear is.LOL...Reminds me of Kalatu

Everyone needs to keep their eyes open and THINK before they deal with a source that's not proven. Sticking with the well known and proven labs as well as steering new people to those good labs is the way to go.

Reverse scammers are total crud too..they should be outed shamed and banned from every honest forum.
