Hey guys:

This is something I have had a question on for sometime now.. As we all know, Bac Water comes with an expiration date on it like most everything else does. But I have a hard time understanding that how does it
expire if its not been used OR how does it or what causes it to expire?? I am no pro on this so I'm asking so someone here with the knowledge and experience can share this theory with me. Thanks.

Certainly "don't" want to sound as if I do have the "knowledge" it's more of an educated guess.

And the reason would be doe liability purposes.

Even tho you & I. & Most here know that with ba in it (as ananti microbial I'd it's not exposed to open air (you said unopened ) even better. But my point/guess theory of only the drawing dart going in (if it were open ) the ba should keep it safe.

& In a pinch doe re- constituting peps & GH

Plain ole distilled water (microwave for 30 sec & let cool doesn't if doubtful ) as long as used in a few days (it's going back in the fridge anyhow.

This will fine, but only for short term, as it could get microbial count , but not likely if kept in the fridge.

I now just make my own 300ml of back water & refill old 30 mls, put a new silicone stop on.

They need to put a date on everything these days for regulations, even spring water has a date. I make mine own with distilled and ba, never had an issue

So I have a few 30ml vials that have expired per say, Can I still use them even tho it says they are expired??

Good input from the fellas here. I'd just like to add one caveat -- The expiration on bac water isn't much of a concern when expired, so long as it hasn't yet been opened. Once the vial has been opened and drawn from, it does have a diminishing factor. Like water based gear, once opened and used, it is best to use it up in a fairly short period of time. Water based will become quite prone to bacterial growth even in the presence of a preservative.
