Watching this shit on Netflix. Ive seen other movies or docs before and know its crazy out there with cartels melting mfers in barrels,be-headings, ect. However this Doc is pretty bad ass showing a couple diff sides of citizens, Mexicans fighting cartels and corrupt government and ex military vigilantes doing there own border patrol on our side... Its pretty good. Surprised Sean Penn isn't in this sucking off some cartel captain lol...

It has to be tough to wake up every day down there knowing how hopeless the situation is. I spent a lot of time there in the late 90s but it's gotten much worse since then. There was more of an hierarchy at that time. Now the structure of the cartels has broken down and it's a free for all.
 
This doc was a great example of how power corrupts. As soon as these guys fighting the cartels got some power they became the cartel.
 
Yeah its sad...Dudes in jail now and all his "friends" sucking the gov.(and cartel basically same) dicks. I like how they filmed it and the part where the people from the village all came out with sticks and weapons against the military to show they were ready to riot and support the "autodefensas" and forced the military to give back the vigilantes arms.It was powerful to watch that. I wouldn't feel safe in Mexico. People think are cops are bad let them try living there. Gotta be willing to fight die for freedom.

Is he the old guy who likes the younger girls? And his helicopter was shot down? Also he goes into hiding saying they were after him? Sorry for the questions but I think I've seen it or something similar

Yeah the old dude is like the leader then the Government tell them to disband, become Military, and all his buddies go along with it. He ends up in jail in the end and his girl is super hot...

Yep that's it. It was definitely a good documentary. Yeah he's like 70 and she was like 21 lol
