Test low (67 ng/dl), free test (1.5) LH/FSH low, prolactin normal.

Seeing a endo to get put on trt, my issue is he’s going to want an mri for my pituitary gland since my LH/FSH is low. Anyone have experience with an Endo doc where I can bypass the MRI? Nothing is wrong with my pituitary since my prolactin is in the normal range, and there’s no other indicating factors in my blood work. I just need to get on trt ASAP as I feel like complete shit.

At those low numbers , ( both free & total ) I very seriously doubt that he'll bother with the MRI , I'm sure he'll just write ya for 100-200 /week without question.

I don't even bother anymore , got frustrated with the whole thing 3 + years ago ( and I have / & have had )
enough for TRT for many years to come, so when it came down to him (last Endo ) compared to one I had initially.

He prescribed 100 / week Cyp, then when going to pick it up. (or so thought ) at CVS .

Once at the pick up , kid says something about insurance holding it up (or some prior approval shit )

I was so infuriated I just went home & after just a few days
Decided to jump back on what I had at hand & haven't looked back.. At all....! Just Blast n Cruze

Why not start ur own trt??

I’d rather get pharma grade trt and then just blast on ug gear. Not sure how much of a difference it makes. Plus makes it easier being under a doc care as I have other health related issues.

The MRI is just standard procedure to check why you have such low testosterone. You could let your endo know you've been abusing steroids and that's why but otherwise I don't know.

I had the same procedure done....didn't make a difference. Pituitary function came back normal and was still prescribed TRT.

Thats a dr looking for the $$$ right there. I guarantee 90% of the guys here know more about trt, and hpta axis than most endo’s do. I started trt at a clinic, and lost insurance after that. What i ended up doing was learning bloods, and monitoring myself. I am not one to knock dr’s, but take this anyway you want..they only know what they were taught, and some dont even read up and re-educated themselves, and just stick to the same old bs. I will vouche for d-line though..160mg of watson test cyp gets me to 1500 on test levels, d-line 140mg of prop gets me there as well, and thats where i mostly stay at.

Just like every profession, there are guys who are elite at their job and guys who are pathetic- same goes for mechanics, lawyers, realtors, trainers, etc.

Just bc someone has a piece of paper that grants them a title doesn't mean shit- what matters if they know wtf they are talking about, passionate about what they do, are continually striving to get better at their profession and genuinely care about their clients benefitting from their service.

I don't think doctors make any more money ordering a test than not ordering a test. Guys here, no offense may know about keeping blood levels steady of testosterone and having enough to build muscle, but that really has nothing to do with TRT or it's purpose. They test for a pituitary to check if that's the cause of low testosterone. No offense again but I'm going to 100 percent listen to my doctor over some stranger on the interwebz. Not that there aren't crappy doctors. I have had a few, but you gotta take your time and find one you like.

Oh no, i agree Kins..But most dr’s would rather throw a script at an issue than find a root cause. I had a test level of 290 at 27, and my dr said i was “normal”. When i went on trt at 35, it was night and day just how depression, anxiety, and lethargy were mostly gone..but it put a bandaid on the bigger problem, and that was my thyroid. If that thyroid is out of wack, all hormones follow suit. I searched high and low for a good dr, even used the head of Endo for a major ny hospital..and dude was also a teacher, and still would rather throw stynthroid at me instead of iodine..which worked waaaay better after i stopped that shit. Doing what we do, and keeping ourselves healthy and safe is paramount, thats why i would rather be responsible and know what im looking at than some dr who thinks you are “normal” but you arent.
