My wife is a nurse and has the knowledge needed to yank a pint outta me. Been tryin to get to a donation event but its just not working out. Has anyone drawn a pint from themselves at home? Any different steps? Where did u get the necessary equipment? I cant donate anyway due to overseas crap from what I hear but need to get my RBC's down. To be honest, Id rather do it at home anyway.

....I live with a nurse too idk why I never even thought of this. I’m in same boat I never seem to make time to go to get it done. Interested where to get kits. Ex would literally walk out of hospital with a 100 box of bd pins for me (history of dating nurses lol) or whatever supplies I needed. Current one at current job would never.

Dumb question though. What do you do with the blood after...

That is extremely risky.
I’ve almost died at a Red Cross before.
I hope he had orange juice next to him.

you empty into a measuring cup but only so you know how much to take out...for example one pint.

So what I am gathering is that its doable but not recommended. The wife is a Trauma Nurse so if it went sideways she'd have to be all like "my husbands an asshole and fucked himself up and this is how I found em" lol. Where can I gwt a kit? I dont want her to get caught taking such cheap crap from work. She is almost a practitioner and weve been shellin out nearly a grand a month for her schooling so cant fuck that up

Tony Huge is moron.

very reckless, and the shit he puts out there some dumb kid is gonna get hurt bad. Same with some other people like that Bostin guy. Gear is no joke, and need to be taken with caution..but blood draining in a kitchen sink into a measuring cup is totally stupid.

I’d be afraid I’d pass the fuck out and bleed out on my kitchen floor lol

We'd have to "Rig" a tether of sorts to you, to the valve, or to pull the thing out altogether { spring loaded, designed to
slide Straight back & out the way it went in..! Hmmm..? }
Just like on a snowmobile for instance. But "medically"
designed.

Going to get to work on this right away, may have something here.

You may be on to something...

Try giving Ivery a heads-up....I know he's done some research on the subject.

YouTube has some 'Do_It-Yourself' phlebotomies vids.

I've not did diy yet. But yes I've been researching it. I cant donate to red cross due to hep c antibodies. I'll use life south next. Then my options are out. So this was my solution. Diy phlebotomy at home.

They are tough with hep b and c...you at least have a friend that’s a nurse and could do it for you...DIY would scare the shit out of me

Exactly run tube into beaker. Stop at one pint. Pinch off pull out hold arm above head with pressure for a couple minutes then wrap, keep wrapped 4 hours no lifting till next day.
