Those boats have a wider center of balance... fishing, trapping, net...... larger work areas.

That's correct... I actually added two foot of flare to my sides so boat is wider in front which fishes bigger nets better. Plus if you notice on the bottom of my boat when its on trailer you will see what appears to look like fins coming off the sides. This gives me lil over a foot more width advantage for distribution of weight without having extra (boat)weight to be that wide. Since adding the fins to bottom of boat I get out of the whole faster, gained almost 10mph in speed and draw less water. My boat with the fan tails measures 24' long and width in front is around 9.5' wide. Without a load of shrimp in boat it runs 45mph. My small block has more then enough power lol

Main reason for using a cheeses grader on skiffs is for shallow water. I draw my water from bottom of my boat to kool engine. My boat in back has a some what flat bottom. The cheese grader cuts anything up that I might suck up so nothing ever gets clogged up and I won't run hot. When I say I can literally run in inches of water I'm dead serious. I've done pulled up on side bay boats stuck. Had them get into my boat and then pulled their boat out into deeper Water

Thank you brotha. Lots of blood,sweat, and tears went into her. I don't keep my rigs on year round. Outside shrimp season I do go catch trout and redfish. I lost most pics in hurricane and every time I get a new phone but I'll post up some pics.

It never gets old or boring. I just left my from checking on my boat. Its in water so when it storms like its been storming I have to go check it. Tomorrow nite its on brothers I'll post some pics from tomorrow's trip to.

Yea bud! Only caught 180pds that nite. Started out looking promising. Then almost got in fight with some dude I would of beat the shit out of. After that by the time I got set up in another spot it was getting late.

Depends. Brown shrimp season this year I was averaging 200-400pds

White shrimp season, which is now I've been averaging 250-650pds. Its been getting better every trip as for as quantity. The size fell off some though. Once the cold front start coming down I should be catching 1000 plus pds
