I hit 365lbs on bb bench press yesterday. Would not have counted in a meet cause the spotter (someone in my wife’s gym she goes to) had to simply touch the bar. But he said it was all me

Wish I had someone on bench, and squat days!!! But nevertheless I have been killing it. And with these new knee sleeves my squats are feeling so much better on my knees.

Anyway just thought I would share

Awesome dude. Hopefully thats just the beginning of many PRs.

Hell yeah man. I am always thinking the same thing. I need a spotter on heavy days just so I know I'm not gonna kill myself with the bar. lol I am only like 6 months back into working out and I weigh about 185 *started at 160*. When I started back, 135 was tough to do reps with (I took like 6 years off from BB). Now I'm working out with like 235. I know I could do 250-260 no problem.

Anyone else just got a new best lift!!!???

I've been training a little higher volume for past 6 months, but I hit 455 for 12 on squats the other day. Low bar, medium stance, all for good depth. That was a PR for me. Legs got a little shaky and had a little hitch on the last rep so I shut it down, but probably could have grinded another 1 or 2 out. Don't really like doing that anymore though. Grinding reps when my form starts to break down is when I always injure myself and as I've gotten older I've accepted that it's just not worth it. I'm tempted to mix it up and start doing lower volume again bc I've been feeling strong lately.

Good shit bro. Keep up the hard work. My physique is very similar to yours but your lifts are definitely higher then mine.

Keep up the good work bro.

** Agree with that entirely { Always *Best* to hold back & keep 1 ,or even 2 in the tank } just sets you up for better progress next time, so long as all else involving your recovery ability is kept same, sleep , downtime , nutrition etc.

Forgot whom said it best, but "Save the "All Out Effort " for
Competition day, if their is what you desire, or persue.

It'll pay dividends doing it this way. No one, and I mean no
One can sustain by going all out, all the time.

Awesome numbers , and sounds like Brutal training at it's best. Keep it up, and yes this is best too as we get past 40 I'd say.

Nice Grind. MotorCity

Damn good job.
I'm still gunning for that 3 plate club. 315 is my goal right now.. But I'm no hero on the flat bench I lift with some bro's that are way smaller than me and have got 50-75lbs on me on flat.

I am so close to a 315lb bench right now. Was able to go 6 reps at 275lbs unassisted.
