A guide to VPN jargon.

PUPU Much props to you posting all this info! I have had that article from bestvpn for a long time! I dont recomend there service tho! IF going with a VPN i would use a dif service as BEstvpn does keep logs!

Props to you brother for looking out for the community. Ppl call me paranoid sometimes. I'd rather be paranoid and anonmous and a GH0ST, then some idiot that logs in using no proxy, vpn and logs in direct from there house for the world to see! Not a good look in this gamE! security is Priority!

Me and you would get along very well brother is we were to sit down for lunch sometime!

RESPECT

Good posting here as i will say which ever vpn you choose they can be had for as little as $5 a month for the added security as i think this is a cheap measure to have.

Mac users are sort of a niche and in the case of a good VPN I had a hard time finding quality reviews, reliable and easy to use. I settleed on vpnsecureme. It was cheap offerers and a large variety of DNS servers to choose from. I had never used one before and I figured it out in a 15 minutes.

Even when running through a VPN before each session ALWAYS first go to http://www.dnsleaktest.comfirst. This will quick test will make sure that none of your DNS info is 'leaking'. Basically it means that it is making sure the VPN is masking your DNS/IP address how it should. I cannot explain how this happens, but it could have something to do with the way your browser saves cookies and other data that hold keys to your identity.

Secondly - ditch Chrome! Chrome collects more information about you than all the government agencies empowered by the patriot act combined. Remember that stupid box that keeps popping up when you open your browser that asks you to review Google's privacy policy that you finally get so annoyed with that you finally just clicked 'yes' so that it went away? It is basically you agreeing to let them track you with their software and to become a middle of their 2017 humancentipad (lets hope not) So remember say no to Chrome.

And it may sound counterintuitive but do not use TOR browsers on a VPN. It is frowned upon and also makes navigating some sites impossible - get ready to do capthas every 2 minutes.

This is what I have picked up trying to browse the web anonymously. If I am incorrect in any of my information that I posted - tech savvy guys - please correct me - so we can all have a better idea of how to clandestinely surf the web.
