Just looks like crystallization to me. I don't think that mold could grow in those conditions. Mold needs some kind of water source and oxygen to grow. Post a close up picture or something because that looks nothing like mold.

I agree with this. In order for mold to grow there are several conditiond you need.....spores for one, apprpiate temperatures and considerable moisture.

Mold needs oxygen. There is none between the stopper and the glass. That's airtight.

All I know is regardless of what it is. It is something that shouldn't be there. It looks very very unsanitary. It's hard to get a picture that can show it the way I see it. Thank you guys for all the feedback I really appreciate it even if I was pissy.
