They are having a great sale on Newegg now. I wouldn't wait unless you absolutely have to. Ram has actually gone down a bit. I check almost daily. SSD prices have dropped significantly too. With the new 2 bit MLC SSDs out now the older 3 bit versions are much less expensive.

Hey, just saying if you want to purchase some electronics, computer, pc or whatever get it sooner than later.
 
I know I don't want to be at war with a country that is making a lot of "research chemicals" because wouldn't it too easy to get products tainted w/ undetectable poison. I hope this next sentence won't land me in front of secret service....I am not into fighting of any sort, but I'd love to fight our current president.. Just buy before Tariffs are imposed. I think that date is next Monday 9/24 not lol.

o'tay, now back to me lol. Not related to buying computer parts but I got impacted by bully tactics called tariffs. I got this email today. I guess if I have anything to sell thats from China, I'll be forced to pass this increased cost...just kidding.

I mistakenly thought Tariffs imposed by president of United States of America wasn't to punish Americans.

(FYI - I got this letter because place I purchased couple bongs from bana)


We wanted to notify you that the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced that:

Effective September 24, 2018, Custom and Border Protection (CBP) will begin collecting an additional 10% duty on List 3 affected imports from China.

• The additional 10% tariff on $200B in US imports from China is effective until December 31, 2018.
• Starting January 1, 2019, the tariff will increase to 25%.

Most products that we import from China are affected by this announcement. You are receiving this letter because you have purchased one or more items affected by this tariff increase in the past. Beginning on Monday, September 24, we will be forced to pass along this increased cost as a part of our business operations.

We encourage you to purchase products before this rate increase on Monday
 
I posted this thread because I'm into computers and electronics though, not politics. I believe politics should be kept off forums. I try and never respond to any political arguments. It's just not worth my time. I like who I like and you have your opinions also. No need to hash things out online and make drama where otherwise there would be none.

True, yeah I forgot about that. I changed my password as soon as I got the alert from Newegg. Good that I don't save my payment details on their site. Well I had one but it was prepaid that I used up all the money already.

Is that why you ignore me nowadays lol. Seriously I respect you. I too don't care about politics and I thought that I was simply saying that I was surprised that I was impacted by our recently imposed Tariffs. Lack of sleep, nutrition, TRT symptoms and trying to overcome my addiction to pain killers (aka not feeling dope sick) caused me to not think clearly about what I am posting. I'll have to come up with a different excuse once I am opiate free lol.

Thanks for the heads up...never got the email about the hack.

EDIT: Changed my password as well as the email addy. I been a customer of Newegg since 2001 and never had an issue with them.
