Contrary to popular belief, there’s really no right or wrong time to train each day. Everyone has different schedules and some people are simply busier than others. The key is to find a training time that is conducive to your personal fitness goals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’re looking to burn fat, then exercising in the morning is probably your best bet. Your testosterone levels are highest in the morning and you’ll have more energy to increase the intensity of your workouts. Training in the morning has also been proven to boost your metabolism levels throughout the day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If your goal is to build lean muscle, then you might want to consider training in the evening. This is when your strength, stamina and flexibility levels are at their peak. Once your workout is complete, you can fuel your body with the proper protein sources. This will allow your torn muscle fibers to recovery uninterrupted throughout the night when you’re sleeping.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Remember that you don’t grow in the gym…you simply create the demand for growth by tearing your muscle fibers. Growth occurs when you supplement those muscle fibers with the proper nutrition at the right times.

I wait tell i get a potien shake and then a solid meal in first
but my schedule is ver flexible

i do love training late at night when the gym is empty

That certainly can be a plus if ya can do it..!

I belong to at least one "local" 24 hour place , plus my Powerhouse gym just became 24/7 with the fob entry

Nice to have the whole damn place to yourself, & listen to whatever music & not everyone else's

I've yet to go to the Powerhouse after hours yet tho, other place yes.., few times even X~mas night I think

No, I think it's closed , same with the one in Lincoln Park on Fort Street, they took a bunch of new membership's & also collection for some sort of PowerLifting meet ..?
& Then closed up the following week, 30 or so members.

Been a few years since that happened, & it's still sitting there with "all" the equipment yet inside lights off.

I'll PM ya the one I'm at now, & it's fabulous brand spanking new Hammer & LifeFitness Equipment .

Brand new, & clean (not that that is a big deal, I can do just fine in a dungeon, and have..lol..! )

The powerhouse that used to be in Garden City shut down years ago the a guy opened it under the name of Big Daddy’s and he pulled something similar to what you mentioned. He was getting foreclosed on and didn’t tell anyone kept taking people’s money then one day it was shut down.

Dungeon gyms are awesome, I miss those places but it’s nice to go to a updated facility with fine females;)

I’ve always trained at night, after 8hrs of work. The good thing is I’ve had around 5-6 meals by then, so well fueled and for Years it worked. Then my commute increased pretty substantially. Lately I have been training on my lunch break. Quick 45 min sessions. I keep them intense and rest times limited. All in all I think I have more energy and mind power to give earlier in the day. The limited time sucks but I’m going to start doubling back after work to hit another workout and or hit two full length workouts on the weekends when I have more time. I feel like my workouts have been substantial in 45mins and my intensity is good, so I’m starting to wonder how much more I need, I’m just used to a higher volume.

I have trained all times of the day, but I do prefer morning and fasted. However when I do get that elusive afternoon workout, I am a lot fuller. Probably from all the carbs and what not I am consuming throughout the day.

I feel stronger and fresher training in the evening after work... But then its a bitch trying to get to sleep after drinking a pwo drink late.

I have been training early morning and it sometimes fucks with my head bc i will be slightly weaker than normal even though i should be stronger.

I only workout after the work day...body is fueled, core temp up and I hated working out early while playing HS and college football. I don't know what's going on with me right now, just turned 53 but I've been having great sessions the last 3 weeks.

Yeah I hate early workouts myself. Even if I go on a Saturday after I’ve been up a little bit and have ate I still don’t like it as much as going after work.
Cardio is a different story though, I always do mine fasted in morning

Also an afternoon trainer; for energy, I tend to take caffiene at around 4PM for a 6PM workout for example. Just have to ensure I blow through the added energy.

Food satiation/digestion timing was my biggest issue for the longest. Couldn't get it right and would be nauseous as shit.
