Strained lat

Last week while training deadlifts pulled or straind something in my lat right under my right armpit at the time it really didn't hurt the next day I was sore but I just figured I had a good workout nothing serious on top of that I got sick and started to notice the pain when I would cough and just thought it had to do with my sickness traind bench on Saturday everyrhing went good yesterday while doing rack pulls I could really feel the pain ans i knew that it was not being caused by me being sick called it a day early and im gonna rest for the next couple of days I been icing it I'm gonna try to do shoulders on Thursday has anyone else had this kind of injury and how long do you think it will be till im able to train back again
 
If its a strain there are different degrees of the injury. You can run a search and find how severe your injury might be. Off hand I do not know the S/S of the different degrees but those could easily be found. Strains causes inflammation at the injury site and over the counter NSAIDS work best for low/mod degree strains along with heat and ice. Just limit your intake of NSAIDS to just what you need especially if you are on cycle and taking any 17aas. A little rest may help as well.

Recovery again will be dependent on the severity of the injury. From what you have said it does not seem to be too severe as you were still able to train with little/no pain.
 
I’ve had this happen a few times. Happened during heavy dead’s and weighted pull ups. Just rest it man, anything that hurts that area don’t do it. No sense risking a complete tear

Is there "any" bruising black n blue purplish..if yes it's hematomed , slight tear bleeding at the tear whether serious ir minor. If no bruising that's visible it's just a sprain strain (pull ) but could be susceptible to an easy tear, alternate ice/warm moist hotpack/moist coldpack.

Just don't do anything that engages it for a bit. Week maybe, just do other stuff, bomb legs for a week and beuing lat (no pulling ) shoulders might be okay, but you'll know when warmed up.

I meant to post this a few days ago but I forgot shoulders went good had to go light on shrugs did legs Fri no problem and chest today I'm gonna train back on monday Hopefully everything is good im gonna take it easy on deads

I’d go extremely light on anything for back if not skip it all together for a week. If you do lift stretch it good to see how it feels.

Like The Beef said , go light.., & even tho it's not rearing it's ugly head @the moment, I'd give it another full on week .

Use light high rep volume to force "new" fresh blood in, thus old bad blood out. Any waste by-product of the injury , always when doing a rehab sort of exercise, the nee blood flow , or "any" forced blood flow is always good.

*** But, "Not" if it aggravates it..

Trained back last week with no dls or rack pulls went good I did some bo rows landmine rows lat pulls and pullups and puovers I'm gonna try to pull some weight this week wish me luck
