I have the same injury. So hopefully someone can chime in that has. I was hoping for scar tissue to set in and hopefully allow me to due certain exercises again. MM

I have, about 11-12, maybe 13 years ago , roughly..!
Supraspinatus, not a "complete" tear, nor was it 'across' the fibers , but rather "in-line" with the fibers .
So, effectively "not" perpendicular to the direction that they run (fibers themselves ) , rather the fibers separated from one another "inline" if that makes any sense..?
Had the option to get arthroscopic surgery, but elected to let it go for awhile & see.
It healed eventually (lost near a year training ).
& When getting back to training , I could still shoulder DB press without incident, 75 lbr's . Clean with little momentum.
So, to answer your question (no surgery ) & I'm sure each case is different, or diff levels of severity.

Even better is PRP along with placement of stem cells. For more info, check out regenexx.com. They did my knee after the medical establishment was recommending total knee replacement. 2 years later and it is as good as new. Effective for all joint procedures.

Sounds "really" fascinating , And interesting..
An electrician @ my place of work had asked me why /what I did to my knee, hobbling etc.
Floors are my facility & maybe what I wear in my feet are not the best...? But the floors def take a toll, been there 25 years.
Anyhow, he gives me a lift on his industrial cart, tells me about (what I believe to be your post.topic..pretty sure.
He says it *was* reasonable "here" , or insurance won't cover it anymore or something very expensive.
But over in Poland , he's from there said it is much cheaper, like $1,000 a shot, or procedure....?? Per knee maybe.. that's a shame, ( I mean I guess that's reasonable ) as I've nothing to compare to, but would almost be willing to say "Damn, I'd pay $10,000 to get some relief in these ( mainly right ) knees"..!
but then they already know that, so unless your insurance
covers it, or some of it.
I'd think it to be more for the well to do, "only".. or near rich.
Very interesting, I believe I will research it for myself.
That shit can lead to bad back, neck issues /neck stress & tension I would thinking just trying to compensate.
This shit has only recently gotten worse, arthritis..?
IDK. They say "everyone " has it if some sort.
Is it a "one & done " process...? Or go back once in awhile
for s refresher blast...?

Insurance with cover blood work, MRI, brace, rehab after procedure. Everything but the procedure itself. You will be out of pocket around 6 grand. My deductible is 6 grand so it would have cost me that had I had a knee replacement. I went to the guys in Denver who have been doing these procedures longer than anyone(Regenexx). You will be there for 8 days to complete your treatment. I would not recommend being a shopper for stem cell procedures as there is a lot of quackery out there. If anyone tells you they are taking stem cells from abdominal fat, they are ripping you off. To be effective in orthopedic procedures, the stem cells have to be taken from the pelvic bone. NFL athletes found Regenexx a long time ago as their office is full of signed thank you's from NFL stars which use it even after conventional ACL surgeries. Get a MRI done at your local facility and send it to Regenexx and they will schedule a call to discuss your case and if they feel they can help you. You can get the MRI put on a disc and mail it or send as a digital file thru email.
I was supposed to have shoulder surgery at the beginning of the year and backed out last minute. My physical therapist started explaining how extensive my surgery was gonna be and I decided not to go through with it. My surgeon made it sound like I’d be feeling great in a month or so, he was full of it.
My cartilage is/was torn and the end of my collar bone is flared at the end kinda like a mushroom from benching heavy weight over the years and needs to be smoothed out because it’s rubbing on my tendon. Also I have a tear on the back side that was giving me a lot of pain. I pretty much quit training for about four months and eased back into it after that. Now I’m pretty much better, I can only bench with dumbbells but I’m just getting back into trying to use the straight bar for bench. I did some sets with just the 25’s so 95lbs last night and I’m gonna do that for a couple weeks and try to build back up over time. I was back up to the 100’s on the dumbbells before I recently took about six weeks off from the gym. In October When I originally hurt my shoulder I couldn’t use the 20’s
I feel For me not getting the surgery was a good idea.

That would depend on your policy. PRP is universally accepted for all procedures involving bone. Most of the original research for PRP began 50 or so years ago in studies for dental implants. So the concept is not new but more and more benefits are becoming known.
