Hey all, so I'm really green when it comes to cyber security, VPN's, encrypted Emails and everything else related to online anonymity. I've dealt with bitcoin before, once through a trading company from like the Philippines, and once through a physical broker that I met up with and exchanged cash for. I don't typically keep BTC in a wallet for an extended period of time, typically only a few hours or maybe a day before I make a purchase.
I recently got my hands on an old laptop that is totally disposable, so I want to set that one up to be as untraceable as possible, within reason. If i ever have to dump it, I totally can, I just want to get my feet wet with the full capabilities of the internet. Nothing too crazy.
My question is, where do I begin? everything is a bit overwhelming, and most people I could ask about this would probably teach me wrong and steal my info lol. I read up on PuPu's beginner guide to security, https://hardcore-underground.com/showthread.php/1337-Beginner’s-Guide-to-Online-Security, Just wonder if there's any more crash courses out there for amateurs. Any help is appreciated!
