I have been having a twitch in my right pec...pretty much dead from top to bottom, near the sternum for about 1 month now. Doesn't hurt but really annoying. I do think I have a pinched nerve in my neck/trap on that side as I have had some other annoyances that point to it.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

I have muscle twitchs in my checks often and occasionally in my inner elbow area. Its interesting to watch it happen and dose cause me some concern, but like you said, no pain. You know what? I was thinking about the last time it happened and its been a LONG TIME (late last year).

Hows your nerves? Or you on edge or fairly relaxed? how is your stress level? guilty of anything (j/k)? I wonder if any of that can have an effect.

Is your twitch like making your pec bounce by flexing each individual pec? Or not that much to move a damn whole pec lol.

Try increasing your electrolytes. Get an electrolyte drink, not Gatorade though. That might help.

My anxiety has been a little worse lately man. Got off of Clonopin a few months back.

It's not making the pec bounce lol...but you can see it. I have increased all of my lifts recently so I thought maybe it's just fatigue or even over training?

It could be an electrolyte imbalance. There are some good electrolyte supplements available. Gatorade isn't great but there are some good ones that runners use.

Got it brother. I think its your body trying to learn how to function without clonopin. You don't even have to abuse it. Simply taking as prescrbed for a length of time will cause your body to learn to live w/ it and expects it. No means I am saying you were abusing it brother.

This any benzo can cause paws post acute withdrawal syndrome. It can take quite a while for the body to readjust to the absence of the drug. Did you taper off or come off cold? If you aren't having any serious symptoms it should resolve with time. Watch out for your anxiety as all this may increase it. Good luck if there's anything I can help with lmk. I've been around a lot of benzo situations.

Isn't a twitch different than the shakes though?. I was on some benzos a while and when I had to stop my body would shake uncontrollably. A muscle twitch or spasm is much different.

Thanks guys.

I came off cold turkey. Ran out, talked with my doc, decided to come off. I was on for 10 years

Yes it's not necessary for whole body shakes you can have isolated spasms especially if there is or was some degree of nerve damage in the area. Klonopin is a very strong muscle relaxant it effects muscle toddie to a greater degree then some other benzos. My concern is lowering seizure threshold over time by withdrawal.

Brother that's a while to be on. A taper would have been easier on your system. What kind of dosage were you on?

I know right lol.

I was only on 1/2mg/day...sometimes 1mg/day.

I was supposed to taper...but I put it off then ran out of my prescription. Took 4 days to get to my doc...he said since I had already gone almost a week cold turkey I might as well just stay off.

I'd say at this point I wouldn't go back on a benzo as it'll just start the cycle over. Maybe a little gabapentin at night until the twitches and anxiety die down. Good on you not be benzo dependent bro. I had an extensive run with them lol

Thanks man. Yea it was rough coming off. The reason I stayed on so long was bc the last few times I tried coming off the withdrawal symptoms were too much. I smoked weed this time which helped lol...I don't really smoke.

I know the feeling brother came off 9mg a day Xanax cold when I got locked up lol. Hell of a place to kick LMFAO woke up to the sound of a dog growl? It was me growling and grouting my teeth in my sleep. Thank God the nurse was sweet on me wrote me a scrip for Librium so at least I avoided a seizure. Been through benzo roller coaster a couple times.

Merry Christmas Brother.

It all depends on what the root cause of twitching and Shaking. You'll be surprised how much your entire body is effected when your body has to adjust and find a new normal. I'll never forget the way I felt when my body was trying to adjust to the absence of heavy opiates, benzos and ADHD abuse.

Thanks guys.

Merry Christmas brother.

hold up...you were on benzo's for a decade and your doctor was ok cold turkey? I apologize if this is out of line as I don't know the details.... Doc's decision to let you leave his office cold turkey scares the shit out of me. Withdrawls from benzos and alcohol are the only 2 that you can potential die from. They are nearly identical once they pass thru your blood brain barrier. Both can potentially cause a siezure. Trust me, you don't want one while your driving. I copied and pasted this Delirium tremens (DTs) is a rapid onset of confusion usually caused by withdrawal from alcohol. When it occurs, it is often three days into the withdrawal symptoms and lasts for two to three days. ... A similar syndrome may occur with benzodiazepine and barbiturate withdrawal.

Also you may get some CRAZY DREAMS/NIGHTMARE that you act out. Since you've been off and survived (thank goodness), I'd recommend you continueing being free from benzo. Based on what you have said, it sounds like you never abused, but took on a regular basis for a decade. The reason why I said that is because your overall chances of getting over this is much higher than if you were abusing.

Cannabis is my gate way drug to being free from Rx death grip!
