I think I fucked up with bitcoin

So I went to order and fucked up and bought bitcoin cash from coinbase instead of bitcoin. Didn’t realize it until after I sent it to my mycelium wallet. Problem is that it’s not showing up in there. I’m assuming it doesn’t support bitcoin cash. It’s not pending on coinbase, it says it sent. I googled it and just pretty much got confused. I’m not sure if what I was reading even applied. Any ideas?

Thanks. I’ll read into tomorrow. Doesn’t look like there have been any update in quite awhile. But the iOS App Store doesn’t show that there is any update available

I did read there will be an eventual update to the app to support Bitcoin Cash and there might be a way to recover the bitcoin cash. Perhaps [MENTION=30]pupu[/MENTION] can help

I use coinbase too. That's pretty crappy for CB to allow funds to be sent to an incompatible account. I'd contact CB.

I’ve used it a whole lot the last two years.
I just fucked up when I bought the cash instead of bitcoin.

They're not going to do anything. But I'd still try. CB fucked me out of over $300 seven months ago and finally just last week responded to my customer service requests telling me that I was shit out of luck. I'm never using them again.

Hope you can recover the funds from your Mycelium wallet. I do think there is a support forum out there for issues with Mycelium. Would be cooler if there was a way for a transfer to an unsupported wallet be rejected.

Can I get 5% recovery fee if I can recover your bitcoin cash lol? Just kidding, check out this link... I didn't go through this entire process but from a quick glance it looks like there is hope to recover your Bitcoin Cash.

I am not protecting CB lol, but in this situation it is 100% user error lol (sorry for sticking it to ya [MENTION=48]Hevi-head[/MENTION]). I can see how easy to make same mistake. Bitcoin cash and Bitcoin has identical wallet address format instead of each being unique. So bitcoin will accept bitcoin cash but won't reflect it in balance but should be able to reclaim it.
