This is surely a thorny question that would need to be handled by the Supreme Court with the possibility that new or updated laws that cover this issue may be needed. I feel I should not have to turn over my phone's PIN (or computer password) to authorities even if there's a subpoena for that so then I should be able to exercise my 5th Amendment right.

Yes and nothing worthy was found on that San Bernardino shooter's iPhone however. Androids are easier to hack, even with pattern passwords where you trace a pattern on the device to unlock it.

Especially sensitive texts, call logs and emails. I use a 2nd prepaid phone for Wickr.

I always clear my cache on the devices often, even deleting app data at times.

My Wickr batphone is a cheapo Huawei one as my main phone is a Samsung Galaxy Prime. The Huawei is small so easy to carry it along with my regular phone..also it serves as my music player in the gym so I can leave the Samsung in the locker.
